By accessing or using the Heidi platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform. You must be at least 18 years of age to create a client account.
Heidi is a two-sided marketplace connecting clients — women, female-presenting individuals, and members of the LGBTQIA community — with vetted providers for nonsexual emotional support and companionship. Services include emotional companionship, medical appointment accompaniment, activity-based companionship, and platonic physical presence where explicitly agreed upon. Heidi does not employ providers. Providers are independent contractors.
All services on Heidi are strictly nonsexual. Prohibited: any sexual conduct, solicitation, or communication; any request for or offer of sexual services; any attempt to use the platform to facilitate prostitution or sex trafficking; any conduct violating FOSTA-SESTA. Violation results in immediate permanent account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
All users must register and complete identity verification before using the platform. Providers must also complete a criminal background check and sex offender registry check. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Contact legal@pleaseheidi.com immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
Before any private or extended session may be booked between a client and a provider, both parties must complete a mandatory Meet session: 30 minutes, in a public location, at a cost of $20. This requirement exists for the safety of both parties and may not be waived. Following a completed Meet session, the client may book private sessions and longer tiers with that provider.
Session fees are charged at the time of booking. Heidi retains an 18% platform commission on all sessions. The remaining 82% is remitted to the provider following session completion. Providers pay a $39.99/month subscription fee to maintain an active listing. Cancellations with 24+ hours notice are fully refunded. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a 50% fee. No-shows are non-refundable.
Providers on Heidi are independent contractors, not employees. Heidi does not direct or control how providers perform services. Providers are solely responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable laws.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heidi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Heidi's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Heidi in the three months preceding the claim, or $100.
Disputes shall first be submitted to Heidi's internal resolution process. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under AAA rules, seated in New York, NY. You waive your right to a jury trial and class action participation.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Legal proceedings not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the courts of New York County.
